Intel prepares six-core Xeon

| Tuesday, May 5, 2009

the Quadruple-core and the Octo-core could be the current mania next-GEN for desktop machines and waiters, but Intel seems wants to as well launch a line of the central processing units of treatment in the interval. Intel will be added above to their line of Xeon with the core of Dunnington at the end of this year, a central processing unit of treatment which will have a total of six cores under the cap.

Dunnington, which was announced three years ago, is designed to be a piece of company-class and will comprise 3MB L2 hiding-place divided per pairs of cores, and seals divided 16MB L3. According to the run slides, it will employ slightly dated 1066MHz FSB, and is probably aimed preventing Opteron from once regaining any ground AMD returns on their feet.
